Settle down for a knitflix night in with our recommendations for every level of crafter.
We’re a team of avid crafters here at Stitch & Story HQ, and we love a night on the sofa with our latest project as we binge a series or two of the latest addition to Netflix. So we thought we’d put together a list of the shows and movies we love to watch, along with knitting, crochet, and cross stitch kits to make!
Headspace: Unwind Your Mind
Choose your own experience with this interactive programme to help you relax. It’s a great choice for crafting beginners who might need to spend more time watching what their hands are doing, and less time focussing on a plot line.
Unwind your mind, and a ball of yarn, with the Grazier Scarf beginner’s knitting kit
An incredibly addictive show that will give you living room envy while you work on creating pattern rows from your own sofa.
Sew while they sell, with one of our Find Your Club cross stitch kits.
Here’s a show that will have you saying ‘just one more episode’ - and the cardigans and sweaters are a crafter’s dream!
Knit your own epic sweater with the Atlantis Cable Sweater knitting pattern.

The Lego Batman Movie
(UK Netflix Only)
Ok hear us out, this movie is as fun for adults as it is for kids! It’s lighthearted and a great mood booster to craft along to.
Crochet a childhood favourite while you watch, with the Snoopy Amigurumi Crochet Kit.
The short episodes mean you can commit to crafting for as long as you feel like, even if it’s just an episode or two! But we all know you’ll be 2 seasons in and half a project finished in just one evening…
Choose a project you can pick up and put down with ease, such as a cross stitch kit!
This is one for the experienced crafters - following a pattern, whilst possibly needing to read the show’s subtitles? That’s pretty impressive!
Challenge yourself with a more complex pattern and knit the Venezia Cable Sweater.
