A slip stitch requires transferring a stitch from one needle to the other without working it. In this video we will show you how to slip a stitch from the left to right needle purlwise. This stitch is used in the Reversible Ski Snood Knitting Pattern and the Staman Stitch Cushion Cover Knitting Pattern.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1:

To slip a stitch, insert your right needle purl-wise into the next stitch.

Step 2:

Transfer this stitch, unworked, onto your right needle.

You have now made a slip stitch!
