To keep your finished crochet project from losing shape and to smooth out any lumps and bumps, you can block your work. This will achieve a more even look and prevent your work from curling excessively. In this video we'll show you how to block a crochet scarf.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1:

Dampen a clean sheet of fabric, or a tea towel, and place it over your project on an ironing board.

Step 2:

Use a hot iron to press lightly on your work to relax the wool fibres.

Step 3:

Continue until all sections of your project have been blocked.
