Knitting two stitches together is one way to decrease the row by one stitch. In this video we will show you how to decrease a stitch using the knit 2 together method. This technique is used in the Lola Pom Slippers Knitting Kit and the Eska Diamond Beanie Knitting Kit.

 

Step-by-step guide

Also referred to as knit 2 together.


  1. Insert the right needle into two stitches.

  2. With the yarn behind the needles, wrap it around the tip of the right needle anti-clockwise and draw the yarn through to create a knit stitch as normal.

  3. You have now decreased the stitch.

And that’s how you decrease a stitch by knitting two stitches together at the same time!
