Head of Growth (Full-time, London)

We’re Stitch & Story, and we’re all about reimagining craft kits for the next generation. Started out as a series of knitting classes, we have repackaged the workshop experience into beautiful all-in-one-kit supported by online video content that has globally inspired many to get hooked. Our mission is to make crafting simple through our online store, content and social media - the creative seed starts with us. We’re loved by over 45+ million people across social media and the curiosity continues to grow. 

 

So far, we’ve raised over £1million in venture capital funds and we’re on track to go for our Series A next year, to become the world’s most loved crafts kit brand. We’re in the process of setting up new global territories and collaborating with exciting global brands including Pusheen and Hello Kitty. You will be working alongside both the CEO and Creative Director to create a first-class marketing strategy as we grow our audiences and enter into new markets.

 

You will be responsible for shaping the brand and marketing strategy and you will build a roadmap to capture new growth opportunities. You will be a strategic leader who can balance big-picture thinking whilst executing the plan.

 

 

About the role

  • Creating a CRM programme to build long-term, deep relationships with our customers.
  • Take responsibility for digital P&L and identify strategic changes to improve conversion rates, customer retention and LTV. 
  • Developing the strategic direction for data-driven email programmes to drive accurate content targeting and maximising ROI. 
  • Growing digital sales with a focus on Paid Social and performance marketing.
  • Monitoring all performance marketing channels and scale its channel’s ROAS.
  • Managing advertising budgets across digital and above the line. 
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to develop world-class creative campaigns.



About you...

  • Proven experience building strongly recognised DTC/e-commerce brands.
  • Strong understanding of complex campaign set up & email deliverability.
  • Strong in-platform skills including Google Analytics, SEO and paid socials.
  • An excellent understanding of behavioural economics and spotting intelligent routes to growth.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to extract meaning and insights from the data.
  • 4-6 years experience in a scale-up/ hyper-growth startup.
  • A hands-on and go-getter approach.
  • A track record of exceeding revenue goals and consistently hitting targets.
