From Knitting Made Simple to Crochet Made Simple

The Stitch & Story crochet collection has arrived!  Following on from the success of our all-in-one beginner friendly knitting kits, we have launched our first ever crochet collection, building on Jen & Jenny’s mission to make crafting simple.  The initial five-kit homeware collection comprising a throw, rug, cushion, basket and mini pots is now live on the website and aims to revamp crochet as a modern, aspirational skill.

Jenny said:  “When we first set up Stitch & Story we had a mission to make knitting simple.  There was a desire to redefine craftsmanship as achievable for everyone, and our knitting kits reflect all the personalisation and fun you can get from a simple ball of wool - and we now want to do the same for crochet!”

Our all-in-one crochet kits, designed and packaged in London, contain everything a novice crafter needs to get started, from learning how to hold a crochet hook and master basic stitches, to more advanced skills.  These beautifully packaged kits have been designed with the beginner crocheter in mind and contain Stitch & Story’s signature super soft, 100% sustainable merino wool and bamboo crochet hooks.

Suitable for both complete beginners and more experienced crocheters the new crochet kits range from beginner to easy+, complementing your craft journey and helping more people experience that wonderful sense of achievement you get from learning something new.  We’ve also launched new online video tutorials demonstrating individual crochet stitches and techniques, to help the novice crocheter.

Through our weekly knitting workshops and supportive customer service we have gained a real understanding of the beginner crafter’s user experience.  The rich knowledge gained from teaching has been translated into the way we write our patterns and construct kits, making them uniquely accessible for complete beginners.
